Thanks for the report, but I have no idea what this is. Can you reproduce the exception, or did it occur only once?

It always occurs in the most recent version of IntelliJ IDEA (2021.3), I can reproduce it by for example clearing the caches or disabling and enabling the Plugin. Not really sure how that happens, maybe something else causes this as a secondary problem? But since I couldn't fix it by removing caches and IDE repair, or re-installing the plugin I submitted this issue and rolled back to 2021.2.3. I will try to eproduce it again, but first I need to finish a presentation in LaTeX, so I'll stay on 2021.2.3 at least until tomorrow. ;)

If you enable it, does it occur before you restart or afterwards? I think I recall similar issues which were triggered by an unload/reload of the plugin, which is why we're specifically asking to restart IntelliJ after installing it.
Yeah no problem, there's no hurry involved as I've been using IJ 2021.3 EAP for a long while already and it's been working fine for me, also haven't seen any other issue reports like this.

It seems something was added to $HOME/.config/JetBrains/IntelliJIdea2021.3/ which caused the behaviour above, after resetting that file everything seems to work fine. Sadly I didn't write down what exactly had been added to that file during upgrade, should have saved the previous version, but long story short, it's solved, the problem was somewhere else and not caused by your plugin, which I like btw. thank you!
