Incomplete code completion with custom packages

Hi, I'm new to this plugin (not new to LaTeX) and I am having trouble using a custom package my company use. I can compile fine and the IDE (IntelliJ) recognize the commands. But when I tap tab, I don't get the curly brackets that are required. It has worked for my predecessor who used the same package.

Example of command in the package (that doesn't work)
\newcommand{\nom}[3]{\ifthenelse{\equal{#1}{#2}}{\\#1 candidate.}{\\#1 nominate #2. #2 #3.}}

that completes to \nom not \nom{}{}{}

To be clear, it works fine with built-in commands like \subsection{}

Hi, thanks for asking! I cannot quite reproduce the issue though, can you confirm your IDE and version, and TeXiFy version?
Also, does the issue remain if you create a new file and put this as the only content?
Can you post a screenshot of the command completion, and which entry you select?

Hi, I use IntelliJ 2024.1 IC-241.14494.240 with texify 0.9.4.
If I add the command in the .tex file itself, it works as it should. It is only when I use it from the package that it doesn't work.

here is an image of what code completion suggests (mstil is the name of the package). To be clear, this is when I call on the package that I don't get the curly brackets and only on the methods from the package. This package is not my own, but one given to me by my organization and works in other IDE.

Thanks for the screenshot, unfortunately I still cannot reproduce the issue in this situation:

\usepackage{mstil}
\no<caret>

mstil.sty placed next to main.tex

\newcommand{\nom}[3]{\ifthenelse{\equal{#1}{#2}}{\\#1 candidate.}{\\#1 nominate #2. #2 #3.}}

Where is your package file located, exactly?
