No Bibtex auto-completion in custom cite commands

I am using a latex class that implements a custom \sidecite. The (very useful!) suggestion / autocompletion based on the bibfile does not work with that command. Would it be possible to add custom cite commands to the autocompletion?

That's a good question. Which class is it?

It depends on whether the class is only within your project or installed with miktex/texlive. In some cases, it is practically impossible to detect automatically. For LaTeX packages we currently rely on hardcoding this information.

Although thinking about it, maybe we can just assume every command with cite in the name is a citation command...

It's called kaobook: https://github.com/fmarotta/kaobook which is highly customized and not included in any distribution. At first I thought that there could be a list of cite commands that the user can define in the preferences but did not find that. The cite command is \sidecite btw.
