I am trying to use TeXiFy 0.9.9 on a Mac together with BasicTeX (which is much smaller than MacTex, both are Mac distributions of TeX Live). In contrast to MacTex, packages are downloaded on demand which seems to be supported by TeXiFy (at least packages that are not yet downloaded are underlined in yellow and I get the option to download them on right click). However, there is no such option for some packages as e.g. Previously, I loaded
Furthermore, my document class as well as some other packages are not recognized. QUESTION: How to validate that my packages are downloaded correctly? What is the path of downloaded packages? |

Packages that are installed indirectly, e.g. amssymb coming with amsfonts, that is indeed a caching problem. I will check if that is easy to fix.
You can check for installed packages with
kpsewhich
, for examplekpsewhich amssymb.sty
