Description of the crash:

When losing your last life, the game crashes after the Bowser silhouette fade out. This seems to occur anywhere (e.g., in a level, within the castle, outside the castle). Also, if you lose a life (even if it is not your last life) in the Castle Grounds, the game will also crash. I haven't encountered this anywhere else within the castle.

Game Over Crash

  1. Lose your last life to trigger a game over
  2. The game will crash

Castle Grounds Crash

  1. Go to the Castle Grounds
  2. Lose a life (e.g., fall damage, drowning)
  3. The game will crash, even if you have lives to spare
