N@TM Reflection

Over the past two years, I've been lucky enough to go to each trimester's N@TM (Night at the Museum) showcase — and each and every one of them has been a personal highlight of my development, collaboration, and creativity as a developer, colleague, and thinker. Each experience gave me the chance not just to show my work, but to see what others are working on, learn from it, and gauge my own development, and push myself to make with purpose.

Here's a look at the projects I've presented across different trimesters:

  • 9th Grade, Trimester 2: I presented on a Mario-inspired platformer game, one of my earliest projects where I first experimented with event handling, animation, and basic game physics.
  • 10th Grade, Trimester 1: I designed an Extracurricular Activities Hub, a platform on which students could discover and engage with clubs in our school. It taught me how to develop for real users.
  • 10th Grade, Trimester 2: I showcased Prism, a full-stack social platform that matched students with each other through games and chat. I built the backend API, hosted the frontend, and integrated an AI-powered random chatroom.
  • 10th Grade, Trimester 3: My last N@TM of the year was the Lesson Layout System, a modular tool for teachers to create interactive lessons with multiplayer quizzes, flashcards, and AI checkers — my favorite and most impactful tool for classrooms.

At the most recent event, I was also impressed with how much my fellow students had developed. Websites like Optivize, which had an AI chatbot integrated into it, were not only neatly organized but thought out as well. These examples kept in mind that N@TM is not just an exhibition — it's a place to be inspired by others, evaluate your progress, and push yourself to create with purpose.

Sharing with others made me appreciate how much I'd developed. From game logic to live data pipelines, I've learned that telling people about your work is as important as making it — and N@TM has given me the confidence to do both.
