Currently, the documentation lacks structured educational materials regarding the Hytale modding ecosystem and its technical relationship with Java development. With the evolution of modding tools in 2026, developers need a centralized guide that bridges the gap between basic Java logic and Hytale-specific implementation.

I propose adding a dedicated documentation section based on the instructional content provided by Kounpejoe.

  • A new "Hytale & Java Modding Roadmap" section.
  • Technical summaries and step-by-step guides derived from the tutorial series.
  • Embedded references and links to the specific video lessons for visual learners.
• How would this help users?
  • It provides a clear learning path for beginners and experienced Minecraft modders transitioning to Hytale.
  • It ensures the community has access to up-to-date 2026 modding standards.
• What would the user experience look like?
  • Users will see an organized table of contents leading to specific modules. Each module will contain written technical explanations followed by the corresponding video resource.

Personally I have not added Kounpejoe's Hytale and Java Modding series because I want to focus only on Hytale. Most of what his videos are about will / are already a part of our text documentation, although these can be added as a "Useful links" in the quick-start page.

I totally agree with avoiding redundancy to keep the documentation clean and focused. It makes sense to prioritize the official text guides for the core content.

However, I believe that what Kounpejoe is doing at this early stage is very valuable as a visual aid. Adding his series to the "Useful Links" section would be a great way to support users who benefit from seeing the practical application in video format alongside the text.

I'm happy to go with the "Useful Links" approach!

Maybe we need to colect using this issue useful links?

I think, TroubleDEV videos may be useful too. His video helped me to start creating mods properly. When he for 2 minutes described project creation, when project attached to HytaleModding org wasn't worked to me, I really start working on my own mod.
