ImpressCMS has multilingual genes :-) because the core contains the necessary functionality to translate your interface, and also to have your content transparently in different languages inside your modules.

This functionality could be improved upon, and this project aims to bundle the different enhancements that will make multilingual websites more easy and powerful to setup and use.
