Alternate Physical Key Layouts? #6

I'm just asking the question to see what kind of possibilities are available.
Would any of these things be possible?:
- abstract or parameterize the PCB and top case design (along with the code, as needed) to create:
- an Ortholinear-style key layout, and/or
- a 10-key-less layout (for those who don't use the 10-key very often) and/or
- other alternative physical layouts
- and/or be able to use display panels with different resolutions or dimensions
If they are possible and there's a clear list of things that would need to change and/or be tested to make any/all of these things to work, I wouldn't mind contributing. 👍
