• Worked on
  • Designs for a simple embed, trying to learn from CodeSandbox and CodePen for a roadmap to more sophisticated features.
    • Discussed more during the meeting about preferences, going with viewer only to start, then adding the ability to show viewer + code.
    • Agreed that the gizmo probably isn't necessary for an embed, we'll follow a philosophy of not including things in the embed unless we hear people really needing them.
    • Submitted a question to Shop Talk Show about how to design good embed share experiences, figured it's worth a shot to hear how CodePen thought about it 🤷🏻‍♂️.
  • Actually wrote more of that old blog post!
• Will Work on
  • Needs to migrate my Prisma, found out it's probably related to what @Irev-Dev worked on this week.
  • Developing view-only embed
  • Otherwise busy finishing up current job until 11/24, might not get to work on Search (next feature) by that time.

  • Upgrading Redwood, real pain, needed to nuke node_modules all over the place because of what I thought was a bug.
    • All contributors should run the migration step within Contributing.md to be able to run locally.
    • If errors still occur, try deleting Node Modules and /dist the api directory.
• Will Work On
  • Backend optimization: still struggling to get started. Not Redwood's fault, but looking for ways to run things outside of their layers, but looking for how to integrate with all their services like Auth cleanly and responsibly.
