I’m not surprised, this was written for the Intel Mac’s. The Dell monitor I have has since died so I can't test it.

If it's the script and system stuff, understandable as the M1 OS will be different so how Apple have implemented the video management system is likely to be quite different.

If you’re having trouble getting the EDID data from the monitor, use another system to get the data from the monitor to use on the M1 which may help work round this piece.

Yes, it's a frustrating mess. Thankfully my new monitors don't have this issue.
