can't get the code to run

Hi,

I'm trying to get the Apple 1 code running, but it fails in the line

require 'lib' ("..")

Not sure if some parts of the code are missing

What platform? On Mac or Linux (all I can test):

$ cd lua-6502/apple1
$ ./apple1.lua

works correctly.

I've done some smaller projects in Lua, but I'm not an expert. Maybe you have some dependencies installed globally that I don't have on my systems. The macOS is the latest 10.14.5 (Mojave), the Linux is a Fedora 30 amd64 system.

Success (somewhat):

I've commented out the failing line and copied 6502.lua and const.lua into the apple1 directory.

I then installed via luarocks
std.strict
std.normalize
inspect

and now the emulator is starting up.

I can't find documentation on "require" that explains the use of

require 'lib' ("..")

my guess is that it will add the parent dir to the lua module search path. I will further investigate.
