I have no idea, it needs a specific bootloader and kernel device tree. I can not go out and buy these devices with my own money or I would be broke. I can reach out to the company and see if they can give me a free board. |

I hear you. I hope they are interested in making their board easier to use and that way attracting more buyers. Thanks for looking into this. |

There is a linux image on the eMMC. It identifies as Linux Linaro -alip. And it's in Chinese so I can't use it, but maybe it helps us? Dmesg from boot: [ 0.961529] Booting Linux on physical CPU 0x0000000000 [0x412fd050] [ 3.117929] ******************************************************************** |

Yeah, certainly beyond my skill set even though I've done lots of C programming in my professional life (retired now). I've gotten as far as contributing a driver to the kernel around 2005 (osst - now obsolete and removed) but kernel booting code I am not familiar with. Do you see a path forward? I'd consider it fun :-) |

Time I have. Knowledge: not even close to enough. Do you know of any tutorials to get into this stuff? |

I'm looking at getting the Youyeetoo R1 SBC and run Ubuntu on it. It is very similar to some of the boards supported here. Is it likely that any of the available images would boot? Or perhaps work is ongoing or could be started to support it? Thanks, Willem Riede.
