First release of functions

[Katolus]

We want to share our work with the people and give ourselves some time to evaluate where we are at the moment.

This release should still be heavily considered as a ❗ developer-testing ❗ release.

There is a lot of work done across all parts of the project so we will avoid putting a summary this time.
