There is no way to calibrate

Hi, today I updated my JAVA version on MAC OS X 10.15.6 to Java 8.271 and from now i can't calibrate my system. I run the fishing bot now for many years!

I make it the way i ever made it but every try there is the Info "Calibration failed. Unable to locate your Fishing Bobber tooltip." can I recover my old preferences? Where usually the file "FishingBot_Saved_Data" is located? And do I need the Add-on SuperMacro? it is listeted as "out of date" since last wow update!?

@kreiskrapp The FishingBot_SavedData is located in the same folder as your FishingBot.jar file (the file you used to run the program). If you have your old file, close FishingBot (if it is open), replace the saved file with the old one, then re-open FishingBot.

The addon SuperMacro is only needed if you are using FishingBot on World of Warcraft version 1.12.1 (vanilla). If you are playing on World of Warcraft Classic, you do not need it.

To calibrate fishing bot, the program needs to know where this box appears on your screen:

Right click the calibrate button and drag a rectangle around the area where your fishing bobber tooltip is located. Then, type /cast Fishing, press the calibrate button, then hover your mouse over the fishing bobber. If done correctly, FishingBot will tell you that it is calibrated.

I am having this problem now, the jar wouldn't open with java8 from adoptopenjdk on windows 10 so I installed the oracle java, and while that opens it never calibrates. Not manually, not automatic.

To be fair, my game machine is a VM in linux with the video card passed through, and I connect using parsec. the 2nd screen is disabled as well.

@beren12 Right click the calibrate button. It should open up a special display with a colored rectangle. Ensure that your 'Fishing Bobber' tooltip when hovering over the fishing bobber appears within the area of the colored rectangle. When you click calibrate, the program will search for the 'Fishing Bobber' tooltip.

So step by step:

• Right click calibrate -> draw rectangle around the general area where your Fishing Bobber tooltip appears (usually bottom right of world of warcraft)
• In-game type /cast Fishing or click your Fishing spell from your spellbook.
• Tab out to FishingBot, click calibrate
• Tab back into WoW, hover cursor over the Fishing Bobber.
• Calibration should complete successfully after a few seconds.

Can you go more into detail on this? Did you manage to get it running somehow? FishingBot is designed to look at your resolution and work accordingly.

It seems to hang when you calibrate it with a 1920x1200 screen. it counts down then… nothing. also not directly related, could you add a setting to double click the center of the screen to cast instead of doing the paste? this way you can use the fishing buddy addon to manage lures. Seems lure support is broken on classic. The game tells me macros aren’t allowed to do it.
