Steps to reproduce:

  • After executing the command "delete 1", in the DG, it stated that "Timestamp in the status bar is updated." However, the user could not find where the status bar is.

Expected Output:

  • Timestamp should be displayed at the status bar.

Actual Output:

  • Timestamp is not displayed at the status bar.

Suggestion: I believe that it would be better to include the Timestamp in the status message rather than the status bar.

The 'Original' Bug

[The team marked this bug as a duplicate of the following bug]

Insufficient Details on the UI

Note from the teaching team: This bug was reported during the Part II (Evaluating Documents) stage of the PE. You may reject this bug if it is not related to the quality of documentation.

Steps to reproduce:

  • When following the "deleting a person" feature under "Instructions for Manual Testing", after running the delete command, it is stated that the "Timestamp in the status bar is edited" - which users may assumed that there is a status bar that shows the "Timestamp".
    image.png

  • However, in both the UG and DG, it is not stated that what the status bar is. It only described what are Overview Side Panel, Person List and Role List is.

Suggestion:
I believe that UG should clearly states what the different part of the UI means in the application (in a list manner), which is less confusing for the user.

Their Response to the 'Original' Bug

[This is the team's response to the above 'original' bug]

Thanks for spotting the issue. Indeed the app does not have such status bar but the DG does not reflect so.

Reason for disagreement: I disagree with the decision to downgrade the severity of this response from "Low" to "VeryLow."

This issue is not merely cosmetic; it impacts usability.

The application's "Instructions for Manual Testing" refer to the "status bar," yet neither the User Guide (UG) nor Developer Guide (DG) explains what the "status bar" is.

Additionally, your team's response acknowledges that the application does not feature a status bar; however, the inclusion of this term in "Instruction for Manual Testing" could mislead users to attempt to locate the status bar while testing the application.
