Severe Audio/video stuttering

Installed this on my pi4 running openauto 16 and its just stuttering terribly on audio/video with my pixel 8 pro. any ideas?

Hello! I've had a couple of users telling me that it lags a lot, even music, but I can't replicate it and I can't find a reason for it.

Are you running 16.1 or 16.0? Can you check your system processes and see if there is any cpu/ram bottleneck there? I'm even thinking of looking for an built backup image that lags so I can try to replicate it in my hardware.

Slow screen response. Terrible audio stuttering. Extremely laggy experience.

Unfortunately my Pi4 blew itself up on my desk and iv ordered a pi5 to replace it and try to get opendash running.

Let me know if theres anything i can pull from my install or a preferred way to make a backup image of the SD and I can send it your way.

Chiming in here with the same issue.

• OAP 16.1
• RPI 4 8GB
• UGREEN Y-247A USB Sound Card
• CarPiHat for 12V input and Shutdown
• TPLink Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle - HCI mode
• Samsung S20+
• Boot from USB drive

Definitely seems to be someone in the wireless AA layer. Audio plays fine over bluetooth to OAP and I can play audio in the browser without issue.

Visually there is no indication of a problem, but the audio stutters and gets behind. Some buffer or something is filling up because it doesn't skip, it will store at least a few minutes of audio (as much as I've tested). EG: Visually it will proceed to next track while still playing the last one. If I press pause, audio eventually catches up.

For the sound latency, a fix was provided here.
However, slow screen response still present.
