Hi @wl-stepp,

I'm one of the developers behind pymmcore-plus and napari-micromanager.

I noticed https://github.com/wl-stepp/python-isim-control/blob/master/archive/events.py and I'm curious what would make napari-micromanager more useful to you? There have been quite a lot of improvements since december (still lots to improve on) so if you'd like to have another go at it I'd be happy to help you figure stuff out.

Hi Ian,

thank you for reaching out. Our needs at the time were pretty focused on keeping the java GUI for the users of this specific iSIM setup. This included detecting Micro-Manager internal events like DefaultLiveModeEvent etc.
But I also had a quick go at napari-micromanager and liked the approach. I suppose events like these are directly implemented there as pyqtSignals? This might become very interesting for https://github.com/wl-stepp/eda_plugin as well.
