UX Suggestion: Move where Persona is Set

Within a given chat, the persona is set within the top right-hand sub-menu (Chat Settings for indiv or Group Settings for group). Maybe it's just me, that feels somewhat not intuitive. Especially on starting a new chat, I think users expect to be asked (especially if don't have a default) or somewhere along the bottom where they enter their replies. Like a basic psychological "Character picture is for character (or other) stuff. Bottom area is for me."

Is there any possibility of moving the persona quick setting to the little plus button at the bottom of the chat? Maybe others disagree so consider it just a suggestion.

Also: Bonus points if there's visual way (avatar img?) to see which persona you have currently set before hitting send without going into settings since it looks like it allows you to change personas during a chat.

I have considered using persona avatar instead of the plus icon, but I think it might cause more confusion than it solves. Many people would not recognise it as a button if it was just the persona avatar.

However, I could add a persona selector to the bottom menu.

Agreed. If it's a picture, people won't realize it's a menu. But having the persona selector within the bottom menu sounds perfect.
