DSNP should support a flag as part of the user profile to indicate a specific field should not be indexed for the public, therefore not searchable.

This would be similar to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots_exclusion_standard

DSNP Community Call 2023-06-22

Does it apply to content and profile or just profile?
How can we keep it simple so that users are able to use it?
- Do not index my images, but not this, but yes that.
- Simple privacy controls are more likely to be used as intended by users.
Would users think this stops bad actors?
- Would naming help?
Real life example: Do Not Call Registry
- Almost used as a list for spammers
Is it just extra work without any benefit.
