Okay, my bad. Unintended indent in my code. It appears the leakage is subtracted from the inflows and everything works as expected. Cheers |

Greetings,
I just found the "SIMPLE STATUS" option in SFR. The description in the docs suggests an accounting (mass balance) of water in the SFR package (i.e., leakage is limited to the sum of inflows). When I increase(decrease) stage the budget file shows higher (lower) GWF to SFR and SFR to GWF, but all other flow values stay the same (e.g., flow at obs reaches, EXT OUTFLOW).
Is this the expected behavior? Or is the leakage supposed to be subtracted from the inflows to that reach and the losses propogate downstream? Should specifying a high stage result in more leakage (SFR to GWF and hence less flow in the downstream reaches? Conversely, should specifying low stage result in more GWF to SFR and hence higher flows in the downstream reaches?
Thanks for any insight you can provide.
The SIMPLE STATUS option simulates streamflow using a user-specified stage for a reach or a stage set to the top of the reach (depth = 0). In cases where the simulated leakage calculated using the specified stage exceeds the sum of inflows to the reach, the stage is set to the top of the reach and leakage is set equal to the sum of inflows.
