Description
Part 1:
Develop a comprehensive testing plan to validate battery performance. Plan should include tests like visual inspection, capacity testing, internal resistance testing, temperature monitoring, over-charge and discharge protection testing, overcurrent protection testing.
Part 2:
Testing the battery with controlled loads (ie. resistive loads, battery load testers, not our motors).
Do not test on our motors until we have verified the performance and safety of our battery pack. This will be completed in a subsequent task.
Important Notes:
- This is not an exclusive list of tests. Your job is to also do research and ask for help to determine all required tests to perform and the steps/materials to execute them.
- Ensure that testing plan outlines a detailed list of all components needed to complete all the tasks (and let us know if you need assistance acquiring the components)
- Make sure you dont stress the battery too much. Cut off any tests if battery goes above 60C. Above those temperatures lithium ion batteries get unpredictable and should not be used
- Megan and Juana: assist with testing research and development and determine testing conditions that meet safety requirements.
Outcome: A clear and concise validation plan to confirm whether the battery meets expected performance and safety criteria, along with recommendations for improvements if needed.
Deadline: Sunday March 23rd
