Safety: EStop Wiring and Testing Plan #19

Description

@dsouzadakota

Research how to properly wire the Estop (use datasheet and other online resources). Create a detailed testing plan that outlines how the Estop will be wired, the components/devices needed and the setup to validate the EStop function.

Testing should include an initial validation phase and slowly work up to suit conditions (48V supply with ~25A of current). It is also important to simulate conditions beyond the suit (higher current and voltage levels, just make sure to keep in mind the max operating conditions of the Estop).

  • higher voltage levels we will definitely be able to achieve (We are ordering a 60V power supply 20A current)
  • higher current might be more difficult to achieve so we may need to source a higher current supply
