Unable to capture a picture and initialise inbuilt camera

Hi,

I have managed to get the initial PC application deployed, but I'm stuck at the capturing a picture stage. I'm currently using a Windows 10 laptop with an inbuilt camera, but the camera pane window in the 2nd stage remains black and I can't get it to detect my camera. I have also tried plugging in an old Logitech Webcam C160 to see whether that would work.

Is there something I should change in the coding or could I possibly create the profile on the Pi using the Pi Camera which I've purchased.
