Thank you for your incredible efforts organizing this year's OSM GeoWeek! In total 140 public and 150 private events took place in 42 countries. We made 1 million edits and added 861,865 buildings and 145,030 km of roads to OSM. Thanks to your hard work, almost 4,000 new mappers joined the OSM community!
We would love to hear about your event. If you have time, please fill out this form to let us know what went well, what went poorly, and if you have any lessons you’d like to pass on to your fellow organizers. If you would like to share pictures, please add them with a short blurb to HOT’s Flickr located here.
It's a great idea to follow-up with your participants (if you haven't already). Here are some helpful reminders you can include:
- Give any amount to HOT's end you year donation campaign
- #GivingTuesday is November 29th and is a worldwide day of giving. On the site, you can set up a personal Fundraising page to share with your mapathon participants.
- Sign up for the HOT Newsletter
- Sign up for Missing Maps emails
- Follow us on Twitter at @hotosm @themissingmaps @youthmappers @MapGive
- Follow us HOT and Missing Maps on Facebook
- Keep mapping at tasks.hotosm.org
- Put OSM GeoWeek on your calendar for the week of November 12-18, 2017!
Again, from all of us on the OSM GeoWeek organizing team, thank you so much for your planning, mapping, and continued support!
