cannot access the backslash key

I'm using Mogan STEM 2026.1.2 on an m3 computer under macOS 14.8.3 with a German keyboard. I cannot access backslash () in Mogan. Option-Shift-7, which works on all my other programs somehow seems to be disabled in Mogan. Not having access to \ is a severe limitation for any editor. I wonder if this is a feature or bug in Mogan. I could not find an option in Edit Preferences to fix this. What am I doing wrong?

thanks for your prompt reply. But I'm afraid this doesn't really work, at least not non a German keyboard.
\ tab on a German keyboard means typing Option Shift 7 tab, which is quite a twister, and besides didn't yield \.

What is Option Shift 7 mapped to in Mogan? If it's nothing critical I could remap this in my-init-texmacs.scm. (isn't there a my-init-mogan.scm?)
