What does "Modify Motor RPM"?

The option "Modify Motor RPM" has two flavors:

Standard Transmission

In case of a standard transmission with gears and groups this option adds idle throttle to the vehicle. The vehicle will automatically accelerate to keep the RPM at (or above) minimum or PTO RPM. Additionally, it limits the RPM to the acceleration axis. If the throttle is at 70%, then the motor is limited to 70% RPM.

Variable Transmission

The RPM modifications of the continuous variable transmission (CVT) are different. There is no idle thorttle.

The main modification is to reduce maximum RPM in two situations:

• Under full load the RPM goes little below peak power RPM
• If load is less than 70% then VCA reduces RPM to keep the engine at optimal load point

Additionally, the RPM will stay slightly above minimum RPM if the vehicle is moving. This is:

• 60% for combine harvesters
• 40% if the vehicle is working, i.e. it has an active working area or a tool with active working area.
• 15% in all other situations
