Title says most of it :-)

While we don't persist any concept of a "date" to the world at the moment, this could come later and be the basis for an astronomical system (making a few related items).

Not sure if phasing the moon really involves any art, but putting that label and contributor friendly on this one since there's no rush and it is fairly limited in scope. I'd just like to see some sort of hook into basing the phase on a date / counter / something
