So update here. I replaced the nav icon and it does come in in full color so this is something to do with how the Android Auto icon is added in. As an aside I'm thinking the sort of sepia tone that it has might actually be monochrome and just look sepia compared to the other icons rather than actually having an overlay or something. |

So I have this fantasy of creating a modern icon/image pack to make the PCM 4 look like its not 10 years old.
For starters I created an Android Auto icon and installed it but when I did it came out monochrome. To test this I swapped in the orange selection box just to see if it was a weird color profile or something but no, that came out monochrome as well.
So my theory is that there is a monochrome filter over the home screen icons. This might also be related to the off-color Android Auto Icon. But when it comes to looking for something like that, I don't even know where to begin. Anyone have any ideas?
