Describe the bug

Every few seconds, as well as when using some actions (any dragon riding ability, hovering over spells, panning the camera, etc...), the game will stutter for a second. FPS drop from 230 to below 20 then back up. It is even worse in dungeons/raids This is not constant but every few seconds. I have tested every add-on I run and this is the only one where the issue remains when the add-on is active. The issue seems to only occur when an action or movement is happening. When just standing around or AFK it isn't noticeable. This has been an issue for about a month, maybe longer, now.

To Reproduce

1. Log on.
2. walk around, or
3. use a dragon riding ability, or
4. hover over spells on action bar, or
5. Pan camera around.

Expected behavior

Smooth game play.

One thing you can try is to make sure that all unneeded Bars and Button are Disabled, not just hidden.

Blizzard doesn't publicize what changes they made with the patches so I have no idea how to work around it. And since I don't play WoW, I can't really investigate it on my own.

Other things to try:

1. Enable "Log Performance" and see if anything is printed in the chat when these stutters happen. If there are, post them here.
2. Try setting the "Throttle Event Limit" to something higher.

So I have updated and tried this I disabled options and buttons that I didn't use. And the game still stutters but its the combat buttons

I.E for DH their backflip when you use it and that button starts showing the cd it will lag the game. It lags the game in combat and out. For me even sitting there afk it will cause stuttering. I have deleted the wtf files and did a fresh install of auto bar for this to keep happening.

This are the logs that showed up during the stutters while in combat.

So for context I have combat addons and elvui. I have disabled all addons and reenabled them 1 by 1 while testing to see what is causing the stuttering. I they all work together no stuttering until autobar is enabled. Once I got to that point I disabled all addons except autobar and it still caused stuttering. I also as stated deleted the wtf and saved variables and went with a fresh install of autobar and it still stuttered. I only use 2 bars the basic and class bar and even had to create buttons for class bars for somethings that are missed by autobar like Enhancement Shaman Windfury and Flamtetongue weapon imbuements and lighting shield and earth shield for shaman, And there are some rogue poisons that are not caught by autobar that I had to add.

But As you suggested I already ran with buttons I dont use as disabled and yea still stutters. Sorry for the length of this post but just wanted to give you full context of what I am experiencing and how my set up of your addon is.

If autobar is loaded, on the addon page showing the addon CPU usage, I can see the CPU usage spike up a few percent every few seconds. This is much worse in instances such as dungeons and raids. The CPU usage can spike to up 30-50% every 1-2 seconds. The amount of the spike also seems to vary with different classes, on my engineering warlock it spikes much higher in instances than any other class that I have. The worse spikes also seem to occur in the horrific visions instances of stormwind and ogrimmar, where it is pretty much unplayable unless I disable autobar.

I have tried everything you've listed and still have the issue. I was going copy/paste my logs but I forgot and my PC updated. However, it resembles Illuminat442's log post.

Yes I spent a lot of time slowly increasing the Throttle event limit till I reach max and no matter what the game still stutters. And when I say I increased it I increased the throttle limit by .1 up to max testing this. It still stutters and no amount of throttle limit increase stopped it.

Someone gifted me some game time a little while ago, and I still have a little left so I logged in. Unfortunately, I didn't see any stuttering. Trying to fix an issue I can't reproduce, in a game I don't play is nearly impossible.

I understand. One thing that I did notice this last time I tried to replicate it: I cleared cache and reinstalled and shut all add-ons off except AutoBar. It originally wasn't stuttering but after I ran a couple dungeons it began to slowly stutter. After some World quests in Dornagol and auction house time, it got worse. The next dungeon I ran was almost unplayable with the amount of stuttering, especially when hovering the cursor over major cooldowns and the AutoBar itself.

I apologize for not copy/pasting logs. I am not computer savvy and all my chat stuff is in one window.

I originally had issues with this and the N'zoth Visions Revisited zone. Something about those purply/black textures just caused it to lag every 1-1.5 sec. It was acting like it was polling/scanning something and hitching.

Now that 11.2 patch is out and all that junk is disabled I'll test again.

For what it's worth, it does not happen in Classic WoW.

Now that 11.2 patch is out and all that junk is disabled I'll test again.

I can safely say it has something to do with that Horrific Vision/Corruption Enchant/psuedo-BFA content. Walking around, doing dungeons I have no lag/hitches. I ran a Revisited Horrific Vision on an alt and hitched all over the place....

My issues have been going before the corrupted visions. I don't know what it is or why but literally can not play the game with auto bar turned on. I have made my ui to look like autobar with some of the autobar options it gave in this extra action bar.

So what ever you did fixed a lot of the stuttering issue. Made it where I can play the game with only a few stuttering issues. Mainly when I go in and out of combat now. But I am also throttled to 5.0 which is the max.
