  • Ensure meaningful diet contributions for major predators
  • Ensure overlap in space/time of expected matchups

Issues:
currently squid-heavy diets for many, including apex preds
ANC, HER not represented well as primary diet item for predators (but often in ‘rest’)
HAL adult primary pred not sharks but HAD
SHK & WHK primary predators for many large fish (some OK)

Testing diets
Scaled increase availability of all vertebrate (only) to other vertebrates:

  • Create diet data file for species/groups in Atlantis from 2001 - 2010
    • Create R script for gathering and apportioning the diet
    • Compare results from R script to Brian Smith's original code
