mojave works fast on my pc, no issues so far..high sierra is also fast...
shutdown works normally on my PC
only thing is about mac shows unknown CPU.
i think thats the reason sleep doesnt work.
but i dont know for sure.

Hi,
i have a z420 with a 10-Core XEON E5-2880v2 and 64GB RAM, Sapphire RX 570 Nitro + Graphics
Mojave is installed on a PCIe Adapter + Samsung NVMe SSD and it is extremly fast.
Sleep does not work for me until now in Mojave, i have to use SMBIOS MacPro 6.1.
On a SSD i have Macos Sierra and this works like a charm, also sleep is fully functional but only with smbios iMac 12.2.
All USB Ports are working, got a additional USB 3.1 Card from Sonnet which is working also very well.
Bios is v 3.91 and i have patches DSDT

thanks

I have Z420 and I am trying to upgrade my GPU. Bought AMD Radeon Sapphire Nitro RX570 4Gb, but all I get is black screen when boot process is complete. Put the latest Whatevergreen and Lilu kexts in EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other folder and installed the latest Clover. Isn't this GPU supposed to run natively and out of the box? Do I need to change SMBIOS and check something in config.plist Graphics section? Any help appreciated 😀. I can see @volker67 is runing RX570, it would be nice if he could share his EFI.

Hello,
I'm trying to install Mojave on Z420 with Quadro GPU.
Sierra with EFI/Clover from NTT123 installing without any problems, but when I want to install Mojave from USB I getting AppleUSBHostResources + still waiting for root device and usb turns off ( I have keyboard with backlight).
Any suggestions what should I do?

EDIT: I created USB installer with Unibeast, copied only configp.list from repo and it's working, but install reboot at 2 min.

Thank you in advance!

Upload your EFI so I can compare it with mine. I run Mojave without any problems though with Radeon RX570.

I'm not sure your Quatro GPU is compatible with Mojave unless it's Quatro K5000 for Mac.

Hello @crojack ,

I installed Mojave, but you have right, Quadro K4000 is not compatible with Mojave.
There's hack for 2GB K4000 working, but without acceleration.
I'm going back to High Sierra.

Thanks for help :)

@Edki

Edki commented Feb 6, 2020

Ok, I'm such an idiot. I had Quadro 4000 not K4000.
Quadro 4000, working on High Sierra, but you need to setup AGPM, because it's not working natively and it can reach 85C degrees temps.
If you have K4000 it's running natively on Mojave! Only use AGPMInject.kext and it working perfect.

About AppleUSBHostResources and still waiting to device. I used Unibeast and newest Clover, only copied config.plist from @k2wl repo and installation run smooth.

About rebooting on 2min. It's normal, after restart you should choose install MacOS from HDD/SSD, not preloader or installation from USB! Sometimes when loading installation may reboot, no problem select second time install MacOS from HDD/SSD and everything will be good.

Não acho que você terá sucesso com essa placa em qualquer MacOS que seja superior ao El Capitan. Se você deseja instalar o E Capitan, podemos tentar com o meu EFI.

To anyone having issues it took me 20+ hours to realize that my hackintosh wasn’t installing Mojave like High Sierra due to FireWire incompatibility. My hp420z has a FireWire I never use. I disabled the FireWire in bios and it installed my next try. Try disabling potentially incompatible hardware in bios
