Running RHEL 8.6 with the kernel and two different driver versions:

  • 2022-10-19 | kmod-nvidia | 515.65.07 | 4.18.0-372.26.1 | el8_6.x86_64
  • 2022-10-03 | kmod-nvidia | 520.61.05 | 4.18.0-372.26.1 | el8_6.x86_64

The GPU I have is NVIDIA RX 3050 Ti mobile. Drivers install fine but on reboot system gets stuck at Dell/RHEL splash screen. Do these drivers work with "switchable graphics"? Thank you for the great instructions the process is easy to follow!

Hi @rovitotv sorry for the delay,

Is UEFI Secure Boot enabled?

  • If so, you will need to manually enroll the NVIDIA key, instructions here: UEFI.md
  • There is a screencast version as well.

However, if UEFI Secure Boot is disabled then this will require further investigation.
