How to sync remote to local without deleting sftp.json?

Hello everyone,
I work on a remote sftp share and would like to sync it to my local folder from time to time.

However, I also want files deleted on the remote share to be deleted locally.

As soon as I define syncOption.delete, the sftp.json file gets deleted also, even if I enter it into ignore.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
