We plan to integrate Gemini AI into our NutriSense - Indian Nutrition Tracker project and evolve it into an advanced, AI-powered nutrition tracking platform. Here are our envisioned features and roadmap:
- Natural Language Search and Filtering: We will enable users to query the food database using natural language (e.g., "Show me high-protein dishes under 300 calories," or "What are some low-sugar breakfast options?"). Gemini will parse these requests and apply the appropriate filters and sorting.
- Personalized Dietary Recommendations: Users will be able to input their dietary preferences, restrictions, and health goals. Gemini will analyze this information and provide tailored dish recommendations from our
foods.jsondatabase. - Nutritional Explanations and Insights: When users view a dish's nutritional information, Gemini will provide detailed explanations of what each nutrient means for their health and offer actionable insights (e.g., "This dish is a good source of Vitamin C, which supports your immune system").
- Interactive Q&A and Nutrition Chat: We aim to offer a chat interface where users can ask general questions about Indian nutrition, healthy eating habits, or specific ingredients. Gemini will provide accurate and contextually relevant answers.
- Recipe Modification Suggestions: When we expand to recipes, Gemini will suggest healthier modifications to dishes or offer ingredient substitutions based on nutritional goals or available ingredients.
To prepare and implement these features, we will take comprehensive help of Gemini AI Studio, its documentation, API, and Gemini AI itself for designing, developing, and optimizing each aspect of the platform.
