Right now it wont show rich presence if my mac is connected to my homepod but it does show if I AirPlay from my mac to my homepod instead

Also it doesnt suport shareplay too

This may be related to the way AirPlay works with iTunes/Music app. I think the way it works is the device (in this case, HomePod mini) pulls the song directly from Apple and just streams the song status itself back to the Mac. I'm guessing there may be a way to pull that information, but would require a lot of additional work.
