Founders Day is an event where a variety of non-profit organizations gather in one place to promote their business and provide entertainment and food to create a fun experience for everyone.     STEP For A Better World LEO Club sponsored the First Tech Challenge robotics team REAPR, who our Social Media Manger LEO Avyay Kaushik is a member of. This season’s challenge was Centerstage, in which a robot which is built by the team preforms the tasks of scoring plastic hexagonal pixels onto a backstage, launching a paper airplane drone, hanging from a suspended truss, in 2 different modes, Autonomous for 30 seconds, and driver controlled for 2 minutes. Congratulations to REAPR for qualifying for state championship! On March 17, 2024, STEP For A Better World LEO Club arrived at the New Jersey turnpike division First Tech Challenge State Championship to support REAPR because they promoted us with our logo on their robot, team banner, and trifold!     In honor of April 20th being Volunteer Appreciation Day, STEP For A Better World Leo Club would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our Members, Volunteers, and Mentors for all their hard work and consistent dedication invested in our organization which allows us to continue to take steps towards a better world. We also would like to thank our sponsors, partners, and Volunteers/Parents in general that we collaborate with who help improve our today for tomorrow. Our members are comprised from the following towns in New Jersey: West Windsor, Plainsboro, Princeton Junction, Princeton, Cranbury, Monroe, Howell, Robbinsville, Belle Meade, Edison, Montgomery, New Brunswick, South Brunswick, and North Brunswick. Since 2013, STEP has been supporting the betterment of our communities by serving those in need. Without our members we wouldn’t be the incredible nonprofit we are today.     On January 27, 2024, STEP For A Better World LEO Club’s President/Website Developer/LEO MD-16 Director Nimeesh Sharma & LEO MD-16 Secretary Anika Bawa attended the Multiple District Conference in which they presented how to be an active member in their LEO Club. They also gave a presentation on how to be a leader and how to organize new projects in their clubs. They also attended workshops that involved skills such as public speaking, time management, member motivation and teamwork. They spoke during a panel about public speaking and how you shouldn’t be afraid of it. During their part, they talked about their experiences joining as a LEO during the COVID-19 pandemic and how our club has grown over time, showcasing great leadership and ability from everyone in STEP.

    On December 7th, STEP For A Better World LEO Club attended the Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging Event at the Liquid Church where 66,000 meals were packaged. Between the two days packing meals, we reached a total of 97,000 meals to serve families battling chronic hunger and malnutrition in Zambia!
