Required parameter is missing #281

I have installed the plugin with Odoo 8 and 10 and Magento 1.9.3. On both installations I get the following message when I try to sync the metadata:

Check your configuration, we can't get the data. Here is the error:
<Fault 6: 'Required parameter is missing, for more details see "exception.log".'>

Unfortunately my exception.log is empty. What can I do to solve this?
