Problem description

For ISO9660, the Application ID has the same constraints as Publisher, and thus allows spaces. However, our schema is too strict and disallows this. This caused Fedora's image builds to fail as we unexpectedly failed validation.

Expected behavior

Application ID "Fedora Linux" should be allowed.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

Build Fedora-KDE-Desktop-Live from fedora-kiwi-descriptions at 70edf9c30104a3dfb709fdefd7adf3285753a90b.

OS and Software information

  • KIWI version: 10.0.24-1.fc40
  • Operating system host version: Fedora Linux 40
  • Operating system target version: Fedora Linux 42
  • Open Build Service version (N/A if not using OBS): N/A
  • Koji version (N/A if not using Koji): 1.35
