I've added the 200mb MAME.oecoreplugin to the OpenEMU ->show contents-> system-.plugins

I dont understand. It wont open Mame roms from before 0.250. Do we have to find the rom from the specific version core?

Why cant prior cores be compatible?

And why is the core over 200mb if it doesnt contain any games?
