Kia ora again,

After getting OG functioning and having a bit of a play with it in Home Assistant, I have noticed a couple of short comings with the HASS integration. I am not sure if they are issues on my end or are just not implemented yet.

1. There is no stop button. Yes, you can tap one of the directions to stop, but for non technical users it would be good to have a stop button between up and down.

2. After clicking open or close from the OG webUI, the integration shows door as UNKNOWN instead of OPENING

3. After clicking UP in the Home Assistant dashboard, then clicking up again so the door stops, HASS integrations shows the door as UNKNOWN instead of, open or partial open.

4. There is no control over the garage door light in the HASS integration.
5. There is no control over remote lock out in the HASS integration.
6. There is no open, closed or partial status sensor in HASS integration.

Having these items implemented into the HASS integration will greatly improve the functionality.

I use MQTT to control the garage. I do get the stop button. Here is the configuration i am using

Thanks for the suggestions. Please understand that the HASS integration is written by HA developers and not written by us. The repository here is for the OpenGarage firmware only. We don't maintain the HA integration. The missing features you mentioned are mainly due to the fact that OG v2.3+ was just released at the end of last year and they haven't had time to include them yet (e.g. light and remote control lock). Similarly, the missing statuses (e.g. opening, closing, stopped) are new values which the HA integration does not recognize yet. I've recently started using HA myself. Still learning but getting there. With the help of gen AI I should be able to make changes and submit a PR to the HA repo to include new features.
