Getting started

Set up on the datateam server:

• Make sure Nick has set you up with a user name on the datateam server
• Connecting to the data team server using SSH
• First Login on NCEAS server
• using VS Code for remote Development using SSH
• install conda
• install the PDG packages from GitHub

First tasks

• Work on the current viz-staging issues
  • good first issues:
    • Convert multipolygon geometries into single polygons before staging
    • Check for invalid data values before staging and integrate removal of observation or fix for observation
    • Reintegrate option to output intersections in neighbor deduplication
    • Explore GeoParquet file format as an input to staging
    • Convert input data CRS to config's input_crs only if there is no CRS in input data
