Pointed residuals

Hello,

I see that one of the outcomes of the function fitISDM() are a list of residuals. What type of residuals are this ones? how are they estimated?
I am trying to estimate the residuals as in here: https://doi.org/10.1111/ecog.06964, is this a similar approach ?

Hi,

The residuals are from INLA, so I'm not too sure -- I think it's deviance residuals? I won't comment too much on the approach in that paper, but for example look at at this link, computing residuals for a point process using inlabru.

I have been looking at the information. Thank you.
I am using the proposed function from inlabru, I think they should work since the outcome of the fit fitISDM() is of the class bru:

class(modelRun)
[1] "modISDM" "bru"     "iinla"   "inla"  

I am trying to estimates the residuals for the eBird data set, do you know how does the expr term should be?

In my opinion, and what I can see form the error term the expression term is null, therefore the function terra:predict() is not executing.

also, I do not know how familiar you are with this (I hope you are).

I think it's easiest to change the class of the model object: class(modelRun) = c('bru', 'iinla', 'inla').
