Building CCNx on NetBSD
Install the needed packages (as root):
Set your PKG_PATH appropriately for your installation - it will
probably be something that looks like
ftp://ftp.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/AAAA/VVVV/All
where AAAA is your architecture and VVVV is the pkgsrc version.
pkg_add -v expat
pkg_add -v libxml2
That will be sufficient for building the c-based portions.
If you want to use java, install these as well:
pkg_add -v pkg_alternatives
pkg_add -v openjdk7
pkg_add -v apache-ant
For access to sources via git, you also need:
pkg_add -v scmgit-base
To build all documentation as well ("make documentation"), install these:
pkg_add -v asciidoc
pkg_add -v doxygen
Now you can return to a normal user account and build ccnx using the
generic instructions.
You may find that you need to set JAVA_HOME, for instance to
/usr/pkg/java/openjdk7 if that is where your java lives.
On some versions of java, it may be necessary to set the java system property
java.net.preferIPv4Stack=true; the symptom is that java apps cannot connect
to ccnd. This no longer seems to be a problem with the version
openjdk7-1.7.0.147.20110811nb2 in pkgsrc.
See http://redmine.ccnx.org/issues/100648 if you think you are seeing this.
