Target SDK Requirement for Play Store

Hello again :)

The PlayStore is requiring Target API level 31 but when I build using level 31, whenever you click Take Payment startTransaction it opens the App Store asking you to download the Square POS app, even though it's already installed. I had this issue before but just lowered my targetSdk to 29 which fixed any issues. Besides that, we've been sideloading our apps, so it was never an issue.

Now we want to add it to the play store and they are forcing 31.
Any suggestions, or is that something you can fix?

FYI, I just updated Capacitor from 3.5.1 to 4.0.1
API level at 32

That was going to be my suggestion to update to Capacitor 4. I’ll do some testing on Capacitor 4 in the morning but I suspect I’ll need to raise an issue with Square. Will let you know

So far it's only happening on my real device note 20 running android 12.

Okay, confirmed anything API 30 or newer has this issue.

Looks like the issue has been resolved.

Asked on the square forum and they added to their documentation.

I added the following to your plugin manifest and that seems to have fixed the issue
