Is there an existing issue for this?

Current Behavior

I can't login with Thai username.

Expected Behavior

Allow me to login with a Thai username.

Steps To Reproduce

I tested jackett, it can login with Thai username.

Environment

- OS: Unraid 7.0.0
- Prowlarr: 1.30.1.4928
- Docker Install: Yes
- Using Reverse Proxy: No
- Browser:

What branch are you running?

Master

Trace Logs? Not Optional

prowlarr.trace.txt

Trace Logs have been provided as applicable. Reports will be closed if the required logs are not provided.

  • I have read and followed the steps in the wiki link above and provided the required trace logs - the logs contain trace - that are relevant and show this issue.

Please restart Prowlarr twice to get the new definition update and try again to login. Changing the encoding might fix your issue.

Still can't log in with Thai username.

Can you give me an example of a dummy username with Thai characters? Also it's possible your password has some special characters by any chance?

example

username: ผู้ส่งสาร
password: ^D!2&tv*

Thanks for the example.

Can you try to use a plain password without special characters to see if it's the password or not? This way we can rule out if it's the Thai username or not as I changed encodings twice already.

If I use English username with same password, I can log in. But if I use Thai username, I can't log in.

Also, I can log in with my Thai username on jackett without issues.

Jackett is a different application.

Please confirm if Thai username with plain password works or not, as I want to rule out this specific one due to a similar bug report a while ago.

Tested but not working yet.
