Summary:

The majority of merges this past week has been infrastructure and maintenance upgrades.

We were able to implement (Phase 1) for the improved release project to optimise our GitHub footprint. This included upgrades to many lecture repositories to enable full html build backups as part of the release process. This will become the foundation of our new backup approach as we move to orphaned gh-pages branches. An example of the new release page (with accessible backups) can be found here

1. lecture-python.myst [lecture-improvements-project]
   • merged PRs: MAINT: Phase 1 - Add HTML archives to GitHub release assets lecture-python.myst#662, fix: Skip Netlify deployment for Dependabot PRs lecture-python.myst#660
   • looking forward to bringing Chase on board to help merge some of the PR backlog.
2. lecture-python.zh-cn [internationalization]
   • merged PRs: MAINT: Phase 1 - Add HTML archives to GitHub release assets lecture-intro.zh-cn#191
3. lecture-python-programming.fa [internationalization]
   • found a way to provide an initial draft of functions lecture in Persian, will provide new drafts to Zahra.
