As it is obvious from the application, the design is awful both UI/UX wise, and it would be great if someone could volunteer to overhaul it.

Hey, I made some designs for you. Those are not entirely complete, grid view is missing toolbar/appbar but I did not decide just yet how it exactly should look like.

Dark theme

gamedealz dark - gridgamedealz dark - filters

Light theme

gamedealz light - gridgamedealz light - filters

If you like them perhaps I should upload to Zeplin/Invision/Marvel or something similar so you could take measurements etc?

Wow, these looks so awesome! I'm already fired up to start implementing your designs!

I've got a couple of questions though:

  • Can you please take into account he placeholder case where an image is not available?
  • The color palette that you're using, I noticed that they're different from ITAD's original palette, there are currently more than 40 supported stores in ITAD, do you have a planned palette already for them?

Regarding the tool, I'm familiar with both Figma and Zeplin, but if Invision/Marvel provides better tools than them, then I'm fine in using them.

Finally, Huge thanks for your awesome work!

Thank you for the kind words!

Of course I will make a placeholder image, although first I should probably create main icon for the app, I suspect the placeholder could use it as well.

I forgot that ITAD is using color palette and I just picked colors from the favicons of those sites, but if ITAD has all colors for all stores then we're all good.

Zeplin is probably most reliable from my testing. Can you post me an email address of your Zeplin account so I could invite you to the project?

You are very welcome! :)

@dotvhs I did start implementing your design, I think I already finished the Ongoing Deals screen one (the light themed), but there are some dimensions that are a bit off, as I couldn't get them from Zeplin, like the space around the divider and the bottom of the parent. Let me know what do you think.

Looks really good so far, well done! Perhaps you'd like to chat on a Slack/Telegram/Discord or whatever so I could help you with things that Zeplin does wrong?

BTW, I think vertically there is 10dp between everything.
