[BUG] keybind to exit not working when controller connected with cable

Describe the bug

When connecting a controller to the device the key combination to exit the game does not work anymore on both onboard controller and the connected one.

How to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1. connect a controller with usb cable
2. start a game
3. try to exit the game with the start and select buttons
