Why Next.js? Isn't it not ideal for a website with dynamically generated content (in this case, a giant, live Google Map)?

1. The primary purpose of choosing Next.js was to learn something new. I learnt how they made React a full-stack framework, how they've beautifully integrated it with the Vercel deployment platform, and I also got some hands-on experience with TypeScript.
2. While I've not been able to take full advantage of SSR I do get the benefit of having half my logic hidden in the backend (as opposed to exposed on the browser), while still having to maintain only one codebase and deployment cycle. Convenience matters way more than performance when the user base is small (in this case, 2 to ~20 users).
